with the exportation from this country. Mr.
Bonar Law observes, however that the name of the
Sincere Co
fimm does not appear on the White List for China,
and he feels some difficulty in telling the firm
that the shipment to Hong Kong will not be interfered
with without calling their attention to this fact also.
Further the Sincere Company is stated in the

Hong Kong Directory to be a Chinese firm and in these

circumstances feels a difficulty in calling the appli-
cant's attention to the fact that the Canton branch is not
on the White List unless he can also inform them of
the steps which it is necessary to take to enable
exportation from Hong Kong to small Chinese houses in
China to be made, since it is possible that the Canton
branch of the Sincere Company might come within this
definition.

be informed, as soon as possible, what of the decision
which may be come to in regard to the question raised

observations which Secretary Sir E. Grey may desire to
